Omega Speedmaster Professional 145.022 ST71

As this is my first blog,I will dedicate it to my grail watch...and you readers will forgive me as english is not my native language :)

Omega Speedmaster Professional....

now that's a legendary watch...and a grail of mine for years.

This one was manufactured in 1972,although it bears ST 71 marking (that says that the watch was produced in 1971).
Watch parts were produced in 1971,but the watch was assembled in 1971 and  sold in 1972,according to Omega Extract of the Archives (Omega order form).

You can see here what you get for a "small" fee of 70 CHF...

This may not be THE Speedmaster worn on the Moon,but I would call it the next best thing...the real Moonwatch would be 145.012,worn by Michael Collins for instance,or Neil Armstrong...and Eugene Cernan,last men who walked Moon surface...

I wore this watch for my wedding,so it can go as a "dress" watch...I see on tz-uk and watchUseek tha a lot of guys have Speedy Pro as their wedding watch.

The basic design did not change over the years.
